Religious Duty

Gambling is considered by many people a recreation, and rightfully so. But it can also be a way to make a living for others. What I never considered it to be is a religious duty. But I was surprised to learn about it.

I read this reference in The Wilson World, on Thursday, October 18th, 1906 about Hindoos and a special day of the year in which gambling is allowed during sun hours. I particular like the idea conveyed in the last sentence in connection with a religion.
