Magic exists in the moment. It’s not a physical thing, not a story that can be told. It is only an experience that can be lived in the same space at the same time. That is why it is impossible to capture the moment, as it doesn’t exist. You can’t have a photograph that represents a moment of magic. But you can have photography that instead of capturing moments, captures ideas. Erik Johansson, a Swedish-born artist based in Prague, creates images that look like a real photograph but are not. It is a combination of mixings several photographs and drawings so the viewer has an illusion that can’t be destroyed by the eye. He aims to have impossible moments captured as if they were real. Take a look at this video and find out more about his fascinating world.
